Patch 4.0.1

Woooooot! The new patch 4.0.1 is soooooo awesome! My mage got to learn all the spells that had needed you to be at higher levels to learn. By the way, my Mage reached level 80!!! Finally... Started to do Heroics and got quite a number of Epic items. Still saving up for Artisan Flying. Got 3000+ gold at the moment. Cost of learning it is about 4500 gold in Hellfire Peninsula...

Changes (Mage):
- Arcane Missiles
Only can be used after casting a spell. Free of Mana!

- Fireball
No longer leaves a DoT on the target.

- Conjure food and drinks
Now its conjure Refreshments which recovers both Health and Mana.

I tried out my Warlock like yesterday and this was what i found. It was freakin cool.

Changes (Warlocks):
- Demonology Talent
Special Spell: Summon Felguard.
Can you believe it? I got a Felguard at level 16!

-Curse of Doom
This became Bane of Doom

-Curse of Agony
Became Bane of Agony
Now I can cast Immolation, Curse of Weakness, Bane of Doom and Corruption together without worrying that i cannot cast so many curses.

-Soul Shards
Now Soul Shards will not take up space in your bag and will be placed below your mana bar. There is a maximum number of 3 slots for your Soul Shards.

In conjunction with this change, there is a spell called Soul Harvest.

I also tried out my paladin a few days ago. Now you can build Holy Power to cast certain abilities.

WoW Training Plan

By the way, remember Linthalyne? My level 65 Mage toon? In Jubei'thos? My guild got disbanded again... Thinking of joining a new one so if anyone out there in Jubei'thos want to invite me???

Anyway, I'm thinking about training in Netherstorm (North West of Terokkar Forest/Zangarmarsh or West of Blade's Edge Mountains) or Shadowmoon Valley (South-West of Terokkar Forest. You see, the last place i trained at was Terokkar Forest. So obviously Shadowmoon Valley is a shorter distance away. However, to get to Netherstorm, I have to fly through Terokkar Forest to the North. The only reason why I wanted to go to Netherstorm was because they had vendors which sold exotic goods and weapons.

Now for some Pics: XD

The purple place is Netherstorm. The place that is brown with many spikes is Blade Edge's Mountains. The place that is black is Shadowmoon Valley. The forest is Terokkar Forest. You can find these images in google, but the pics with Linthalyne in them are original.
The pic with the dragon mount in it is from

A Few More Days TO GO!!!

Woah. It's been a few months since I typed in my blog. Gotta lot of studying to do... Next year's 'O' Level. Done majority of my End-Of-Year (EOY) Examination Papers. Gone through: English, Chinese, Social Studies, Geography, Additional Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry! Elementary Mathematics and Physics to go! Phew... Enduring these few exams... I mean compared to next year, there's gonna be twice the workload, exams, pressure and not to mention STRESS!!! Never mind... Should not be worrying about next year. Enjoy as much as I can yeah?! You agree with me right???

I might be going back to World of Warcraft (WoW) in a few days time. During the 2 Marking Days after the Exams to be more exact. However, the following day is Judgement Day. The day which decides my future: If I could play WoW or not. Just Jokin! I mean this may be true but more importantly, if i failed any subjects, I have to go back to school for the Bridging programme... Meaning that I have to go back to school in the first half of the November while everyone else is enjoying their holidays at home and playing WoW!

However, if I'm able to go back online, I'll be overjoyed! If I'm able to play WoW, the only obstacle standing in my way is that darn patch which might take a few hours!!! :(

Anyway, I'm hoping to get World of Warcraft: Cataclysm for Christmas this year. Hope someone gets it for me... Trying to get my friend to pre-order it for me. Releasing on 7.12.2010! Not sure if it reaches Singapore at the same time. People would be rushing into stores to get it! I still remember that I got the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King pretty late so the shops weren't so crowded... And I got World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade plus the original one super, super, super, super, really, really, really, really late. The same year that I bought Lich King i reckon...

Presenting the glorious picture of Cataclysm! I know it looks scary to some people, but face it, it looks cool not scary. XD

Check out the damage from my [Blizzard] Spell. Wipes the enemies off their feet and sends them shivering!

Left Picture is my Level 65 Mage and below is me in a Raid Group/BG Group in Alterac Valley.

Left picture shows me after killing an extremely rare beast, earning me the [Medium-Rare]
Achievement. The picture below shows me on my new flying mount.

Lol! Just passed a Fel Reaver! Level 70 Elite. Could have killed me in one hit.

This is me in i dunno where... I forgot the place. In a dungeon. maybe in Hellfire Ramperts or Blood Furnace. Bothe instances are in Hellfire Peninsula.

The left picture shows me and Outhood in Booty Bay. He accompanied me through Tanaris.

The Picture on the Bottom Left is me standing infront of the Horde Flag in Warsong Gulch and The Bottom Right is ma dinging (leveling up) after completing a random dungeon.

This is one of the photos of my level 44 Mage (Maybe in May)

I'm Back!

Yo people! Miss me??? Arh I think not... Not many people know that i created a blog... Anyway, here I am, expressing me (this is not a grammar mistake!) experience and feelings...

Oh by the way, i managed to reach level 65 for my mage in World of Warcraft! So happy! I was level 40+ some months ago (I know it's a long time since for me to get to level 65, I'd probably level 80 in about 2 months, but coz of my school life, i did not play for 4+ months since December 2009...) Just to let you know, and you if you wanna meet me on WoW, his name is Linthalyne from Jubei'thos and my current guild is "And Ten Stealthed Rogues". Our guild will welcome anyone who ask to join the guild. Currently, we have about 277 members in the guild. Iused to be in "Unity of Darkness", but somehow it got disbanded. It only had 24 memebers... Most of the time i was the only member in the guild who was online... Only occassionally, our Guild leader, Sharielbane would be online. At least there is people to talk to in my current guild, sometimes we go for runs togetther.

After reaching level 58, i finally had the experience of going into Outlands for the FIRST time in my entire life! (I did not complete all the quests in Western and Eastern Plaguelands. I was just too excited!) It was awesome, especially after getting a flying mount (which was more awesome!). I got it around level 61. It was super expensive, costing me around 250+ gold for the riding skill and about 47g 50s for the mount itself, but having the experience to get to fly around Outlands freely was priceless. I did not have the money to get the flying mount at the skill at first, but after asking some kind souls, one was from my guild (I'm not asking you to join my guild so that you can ask people to lend you gold.) and 2 other guys who i did not know, but met.

At this point of time, my mage is able to do about 1000+ damage while using a [Frostbolt] and about 2000+ damage when it critically hit. (I know it's not a lot, but i usually top the DPS charts when in Battlegrounds or while running a dungeon. Most of this is due to my aromr. Most of the cloth i wear increases Spell Power. I sometimes neglect the stats, like Intellect and Stamina coz i rather do huge amount of damage than sit around waiting for my Mana and Health to die down. However, there is also a disadvantage to having cloth armor that only increases Spell Power. The obvious reason is that you'll die quite easily, die to your low health. My mage has only about 3900+ health with armor stats. You can avoid this by equiping high armor and give Spell Power (but rarely do cloth armor give you high Armor...) So there is always advantages and disadvantages right?)

Anyway, I'll be posting some pictures of my mage either in action, or doing something else...

At the moment, I have started my quest to losing weight AGAIN coz i have not reach my target of reaching below 70kg. When i weighed myself to day, it's about 70.2kg so i'm pretty happy about the results XD. However, i still hope to get to my target :)

Extra Weight Loss Tips

Some other ways to lose weight is to drink water, and i mean lots and lots of them. Plus, it has other benefits like detoxifying your body and helps improve your skin. If you wanna know why, you can go to these links:

But of course you still have to exercise. The amount of weight loss from drinking water does not show immediately, but it will gradually go down if you eat right. Eat more veggies and fruits! Usually, if you drink gassy or sweet drinks, you may gain weight. Don't let the information on the bottle or can fool you. They sometimes add artificial flavouring and sugar. Sometimes it may be through that they do not contain fat/carbo, they do contain lots and lots of sugar. Most people think because they drink things which do not have fats in them, they will not gain weight or it is not unhealthy. Truth is, sometimes they do contribute to weight gain. If you do not exercise regularly and continue to drink fluids with high sugar content, when the sugar turns to energy and is not used, the energy will be stored as fats.
Eating lots of fruits and veggies is good as they contain lots of fibre which helps you in your digestion. They also contain lots of water contains as well as vitamins. Most people who really, badly want to lose weight will eat their vegetables raw, because some of their vitamins or minerals will be lost when you cook them. Another good tip is to eat fruits before you eat an actual meal. Why?
The reason is sometimes the fruits you eat will fill you up, so you will not feel like eating too much at meal times. Another group of people think that by not eating during meal times to lose weight is effective. WRONG! If you do not eat during meal times, you will build up your cravings overtime and tend to over eat when you cannot resist your cravings.
If you want to control your diet, follow this when you make or buy your meals, make sure you have these:
- 1/3 Carbs
- 1/3 Vegetables
- 1/3 Fruits
If you follow this meal plan, you will be sure to see the difference. Another point to note: Those who work late or study into the night often take coffee (Caffine) or sweets. Firstly, Coffee (Caffine) is addictive, and it is not good for your health. Sweets? I've already mentioned about its sugar content and the effects. Try drinking water. It helps.
Here is a link to tell you 10 Reasons to Drink More Water:
To be honest, I do not understand why children do not like fruits and veggies. Don't they taste sweet, like sweets?

The Lean Body Promise Part 2

So what's holding you back?
Typically, there are three things tying us back to our old habits: fear, excuses, and negative self-talk.

#1. Fear Itself
A certain amount of fear is good. Are you afraid of running across a busy interstate at rush hour? That's a healthy fear. Afraid of stepping too close to the edge of a tall building while blindfolded? Another healthy fear. If human beings weren't hardwired with a certain amount of fear, we wouldn't have made it out of prehistoric times alive.
Many fears, however, are unfounded in reality. And these fears are the ones that stop you from trying. "I failed before," you might say. "Why should i do this to myself again?" Once your fears are reinforced, you might ask, "Why should I bother in the first place?"
Thins is, you do have a chance. You need to think about what's holding you back instead of being dominated by fear. Here's an acronym I call to mind when I start seeing shadows on the wall:
FEAR = False Expectations Appearing Real
And most times, that's all that you're afraid of: false expectations. I'll never finish it. It won't work on me. I'll screw it up. They're phantoms, easily dispelled with a little positive thinking. But getting trapped in a perpetual downward spirals of negative thinking will lock your ability to think through a problem and come up with a breakthrough solution. Fear will hold you back the very thing that can help.
Your desire to reach the outcome - a leaner, healthier body - must be stronger than the fear that kepps you back. There's going to be a certain amount of discomfort in approaching any goal. Your desire has to be stronger. If you can make that desire real enough - cyrystalise it in your mind - you'll be able to outpace your fear.

Soureced from The Lean Body Promise book.

Putting on Weight

I remember last year in June when i was fat, REALLY fat. My weight was about 80kg at that time. When i saw those numbers, I was shocked! Man! I'm so heavy now, I'd better do something about it. That was the time when i decided I have to lose weight. I managed to lose 8Kgs by the end of that month. Some of my friends in school have been asking me how i lost weight.

Firstly, you must have the motivation to cut down the fat and lose weight. Without this, you might give up half way through the losing weight process. I followed a book on losing weight - The Lean Body Promise "Burn Away Fat and Release the Leaner, Stronger Body Inside You" written by Lee Labrada. The picture on the ook is on the right. I did not really follow the exercises on the book but i did follow through the motivations and diet. So most of the information is listed in the book. I bought this book at HARRIS Bookstore for SGD$11.90. Considered quite cheap for a thick book.
Here is one of the thins that is in the Chapter: The Motivation - Overcoming the Ties That Bind:
Imagine that you're standing in a room between two walls. You're facing a wall that we're doing to call "desired outcome". Maybe that wall has an image of you at 20 pounds lighter and three dress or pant sizes smaller. A healthier, happier, leaner you. You very much want to reach that wall. The wall behind you? That's called "the way things are".
What do you do to reach the desired outcome? You walk towards it. But wait; there's a catch. Seems there's a large elastic band around your waist tethering you to the wall behind you. Every time you step toward your desired outcome, the band stretches and the tension increases, trying to pull you back to the way things are. You want to reach that desired outcome so badly, but that blasted band is getting tighter and tighter and tighter...
Anytime you try to break out of an old habit, there's a certain amount of negative tension that tries to pull you bac toward that old habit. That's because your mind is like a cranky grandfather: it has an internal resistence to change. It's simply more comfortable to have things pegged. That wall behind you? It's familiar turf. Safe. Understandable.
The wall behind you is made of a number of routines we call habits. Good or bad, these habits become hardwired into our psyche by rote, and it's uncomfortable to break ut of them. To change our habits, we have to consciosly work hard for it. Even when we succeed, we then have to make sure we replace them with something else - good habits.
The lesson here is that when you have a desired outcome and work toward it, you're going to initially have internal resistence. If you keep at it, however, you will evetually reach the point where your positive actions will overpower the negative tension. The rubber band will snap, and you'll go flying toward your desired outcome, hopefully not too hard.
That's what motivation boils down to: countering the negative tension that tries to pull you back with positive action to propel you forward.

American Ignorance Video

Here's the video i told you on 'American Ignorance':

Hope you'll enjoy it! :)

Interesting Videos

There is a video that our Social Studies teacher showed to us in class. The video was named "Ignorance America". You can type it in the search in http://www.youtube.com/. Its a video to see whether Americans are very knowlegable by asking a few people the same questions. One of the questions that ask that i will surely remember was:

Person asking: "What religion do you think Buddhist Monks have?"

American A: "Umm. I think they are Catholic?"

That was when my Social Studies teacher started banging his head on the table and my classmates started laughing.

Another one that i watched myself on http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odKBE22yaPA.

Person Asking: "How many sides do you think a triangle have?"

American B: "Damn. Four?"

Another video that i think you should watch is ERP Hitler. You can also find many of those videos in http://www.youtube.com/, its a group of caucasions and Hitler complaing about the ERP in Singapore and trying to find a route that will not pass through any ERPs. Some of the videos have vulgarities in them, but the whole idea is about the ERPs and not their vulgarities.

Hope you enjoy the videos!
This is the one on Hitler. Its called 'Hitler And Woes (Singapore). If you want to find the link, it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JoTqRQ29Od8.

I'll TRY to upload the one on 'American Ignoarance' in the next post so that you do not have to seacrh for it in youtube. :)

Sistic: Man in Tutus

I'm going to watch Les Ballets Grandiva - Men in Tutus 23 January, saturday, 3pm. It sounds kind of weird, but i think its gonna be entertaining...
The tickets should be selling kinda fast, so if you wanna catch it, you better go to Sistic to get your tickets! A short-cut to the website is the link placed below:
If you have problems getting to the site using this link, either that they are no longer selling tickets, your computer has something wrong or the link here is wrong (I hand typed everything because somehow, i cannot paste it here... But it should work because i have already tried the link.) If you are using the link here, you might still have to do a bit of searching, so if you prefer, you can just go to: http://www.sistic.com.sg/ to look for it.
If you are going, enjoy the show and laugh till you drop! :p

Luck or Skill?

When i went for CO (Chinese Orchestra) today, was kinda scared because i heard that our conductor was going to test us (to decide if we are up to the standards to perform in our school's Chinese New Year celebration) and i was thinking: Is he going to test us one by one and play solo? As i was thinking, I was getting more and more anxious because i was not so used to playing my instrument, erhu, in front of more than 60 people in the room, but like some people say: "How would you know the result if you don't go for it?" So i went in to attend my CCA. I went in and was surprised to find that Ms Chen Qiuru became one of our CCA teachers. Boy, i was relieved to see her, when our conductor told us that we were going to have a 4th CCA teacher but he forgot her name, i was quite scared because he said that her name was in chinese, so i thought it was some China teacher. (Not that i'm prejudiced towards China people.) I do not understand why the erhu section is always the last... He went to test the Chello and Base section first, the YangQing section second, went to the Ruan section, back to the YangQing section, where he made them do solo, third was DiZi section, 4th was the Sheng section, finally it reached us. Wa, getting even more worried. I was asking me this few questions while waiting for the conductor to ask me to play: What if i don't play properly? What if i play the wrong note? What if i can't hold my bow properly because my hands will shake if i'm nervous? What if my strings are not tuned? Would everyone be looking at me? Then our co0nductor asked the 2 Secondary 4 students to play 1st. i was a bit relieved because he was going to test us 2 by 2. I whispered to my friend, Glendon, sitting beside me: "Later when the conductor ask us to play, we must play properly so that he won't ask us to play solo." Sure enough, we played weel enough so that we did not have to play solo. So was that called Luck or Skill? You decide then, i'm just to "lazy" to decide... :p

Here's an old photo that was taken a few years back with my seniors, whom might have gone to Junier College or NS. I'm not inside the photo so don't bother looking.

Here it is on the right side of the page. I only know some od the seniors in the photo...

By the way, for those who are reading the blog and looking for a CCA, join CO! It'll help you greatly in getting CCA points. I know a lot of students like to join NPCC or NCC because they look cool with the guns, but i tell you the truth, its not that easy to gain CCA points in those CCAs. Our CO has already gained 3 consecutives Gold Awards in SYF (Singapore Youth Festival) for 6 years (SYF is held every 2 years) and was awarded the Sustained Award. I already got 22 CCA points for joining CO. There is a friend of mine who joined 2 CCAs: Scouts and Chess, but managed only to get 15 CCA points.

Usually, if you join CO, you'll get to go to other countries for competitions. This June, we will be going to Australia for a competition. We are the only Chinese Orchestra in the compettion, so there is a higher chance for us to get an award. Next year will be our next SYF and we are aiming to get a Gold with Honors (A higher award then Gold but is only a difference of 1 point between Gold and Gold with Honors, so i think we must play perfectly). If you want to learn more about ACS (Barker Road)'s Chinese Orchestra, you can go to http://acsbr.net/cos/o.x?c=/wbn/pagetree&funct=view&rid=11052

Oops... I'm getting out of the point... Well then, its up to you to choose whether is Luck or Skill. Have a good day! :p

P.S. You don't have to answer it and you don't have to tell it to me! :p

WoW Thanks

It's Sad... I'm not allowed to play WoW when school starts... I'll miss all my mates, and my guild (Unity of Darkness): Straylight for helping me find stuff and especially Hobogo who promoted my ranks so that i could use the Guild Bank. Acall for sharing with me his problems and helping me find some really good music. Creedy, i met you when you were really low level at Scarlet Monastory (SM), but you shot up really fast coz of your x3 xp, Blaire for being a really good tank in SM Cathedral, Outhood for allowing me to have so much fun questing in Tanaris and brining me to Booty Bay, Moomoobox (Venture Co.), for helping me in the quests in the Alterac Mountains, Silvervixen, for running me my first time in SM, thanks a lot, Kensinkyo, you introduced me to the really good guild that I am in now and ran me SM a few times, it really helped my Enchanting and Tailoring professions. Iceyshot, for helping me in some runs in dungeons, Flure (Venture Co.) and Emooh, for promising to run me the next time I log in. Thejack, I met you in the Ghostlands when you made your first WoW toon and was new to the game, a really good companion. You managed to overtake me over time, congratz. Palenblood, when i made my Warlock, you helped me get my VoidWalker. Lolcancel, also in my guild, don't forget to run me SM Library for my mage quest: [Ritual of Power] and good luck with your Inscription Profession! Gnarvesh aka Kobeibeef, you said that you'll power-level me and give me a silver rod, but you did not. So don't care about you. Well, thank all these people except Gnarvesh aka Kobeibeef. Cya. Hope we'll meet in June!

Yell: For the Horde!

Linthalyne
(Unity of Darkness)
P.S. I know this is not horde. It's just a picture.
