Iron Man Achievement

Hi guys. I didn't have time to post a lot on this blog these few days because I'm having school and my Common Tests are approaching real soon... Like next week. But anyway, I got a screenshot to share with you guys.

Yep! I got my Ironman Achievement on my Shaman which has just turned level 25 after this battleground. Never thought I could do it! Credits goes to my battleground group though. They didn't fight for the flag and they held of "hordes" of alliance. One of them even brought the flag to me to cap because he knew I wanted to get this achievement. Super grateful to them!

I swear [Glyph of Totemic Encirclement] is EPIC!!! Look at me: a level 25 with totems of all four elements! Haha. It's a fun glyph but it costs a lot of gold. It cost me like 400g + from the Auction House. But I think it's worth it! XD

Alright till next time guys. Signing off ^_^

Bad Day

I logged in to WoW today to find out that there would be a Server Shutdown from 3-11am PST which is freaking 8 hours!! Anyway, one of my guildies told me that it will be a pretty major patch so it will take a while... Looks like I ain't going on WoW today...

So to past time, I've searched YouTube and found a 22 minutes video about the new Patch 5.1.

Sha defeated with Priest Bloodpry

An hour ago I did Sha. I was actually queuing for specific: Mogu'Shan Palace heroic to get the one-handed weapon for my priest. My priest was at 459/460 ilvl and I just need one more ilvl to do LFR. Boy oh boy, that one ilvl was so irritating. Fortunately, someone was looking for people to fill up spots in the raid. I decided to do Sha instead of queuing because queuing for specifics always takes a while even if I was queuing as a healer.

Here are a few screenshots I took during the fight:

Healing is awesome especially in boss fights

Was so happy when I looted an ilvl 496 glove!!

Came to me in my mailbox because my bags were full. I almost panicked when I didn't see it in my bags after the fight. XD

Here is the comparison between my ilvl 476 gloves and the new ilvl 496 gloves. Big difference huh. :D

So finally I can start doing LFRs with my priest!! The gloves boosted my ilvl to 460/462 :)

Did I mention that I did my first Sha fight when I was level 88? Guess I didn't... Well, someone was looking for members while I was questing in Kun Lai Summits. So I asked for an invite. Fortunately, I asked my guild members to join. Why? Because when they found out that I was level 88, I got kicked out of the raid group. However, with my good guildy in the raid group, he invited me back into the raid one second before they started the fight. :) Cheers to Yazhan from Pirates of Kalimdor!

Double Happiness Part 1

Hiya guys! So what have I done in the past few weeks? My school started about a week ago so I do not have as much time to go online as when I was having my term break. However I got some really awesome stuff to show.

Got my priest to level 90 and got the extra achieve. I'm hoping to get a third one but it might take a while...

Did LFR Part 2 of Mogu'Shan Vaults. Wiped like this twice. It was hilarious. The floor opened up and everyone fell. Well, almost.

This was the time when we got it right. Finally~

And I got a ilvl 476 epic belt from this boss. First epic from LFR :D

Got these achievements plus the following items. Looks great on the screen doesn't it?

This was when I tried clearing Sha with a raid group with my Discipline priest. Wiped twice without managing to defeat Sha. This was because the tank did not get the adds off the healers and the dps didn't kill the adds. Of course I cannot put all the blame on them because the healers like me, could be more efficient...

This was when I was trying very hard to sell my [Potion of Mogu Power]. Tried to advertise it but only sold a few... At least it helped a little. I made like 200 of them. I kind of regret though, because I could've sold the herbs themselves which would be more time efficient.

Got this achievement unknowingly when I was flying around Vale of Eternal Blossoms with some group members doing dailies. Doing dailies in a group makes it more enjoyable and faster.

From one of the kills during the dailies, I found a key which opens up a cache in Guo Lai Halls. Gave me some gold and stuff to increase reputation with the Golden Lotus. The epic one gives about 365 rep and the blue one gives about 185 rep. Really helpful.

I did Sha for the second time on my mage and I got a ilvl 496 glove. Again, first epic gear from the world boss, not counting the [Claw of Anger] quest item that awards a ilvl 476 feet.

Here are the stats and the additional "buffs" of the ilvl 496 glove. Hopefully I can get another one soon.

I'm Back

Hey guys. I know it has been like a year since I posted anything. So I've decided to put some time into posting again in this blog. I just got the Mists of Pandaria expansion pack a few weeks ago and I have to say that I am extremely satisfied with the expansion. The new areas, glyphs, talent systems, dungeons, etc. are really cool.

Almost completed the download:

Back to the adventures with my main character: Linthalyne. I started playing even before the patch has finished downloading so it was lagging a lot. Some of the equipment I was actually wearing didn't appear. I was really sad to part with my hard fought cata equipments due to the new patch...

Tried out the new skills for my fire mage.

I took about 4 days to get to level 90. Yay finally. I can start doing heroics. Hopefully I can get enough gear to queue for LFR. Some tips for those who have trouble leveling to 90: Only do random dungeons when you haven't done them at all because the dungeon quests will give you a little extra xp plus better gear. Once you've done every dungeon at least once, I'd suggest that you concentrate on questing as these can give you quick xp.

At level 90, I ran heroics and scenarios with my guild to help them get gear and the guild achievements. I'm currently in a guild called "Pirates of Kalimdor" if I have not said that in my previous posts.

Here is my cute little dragon hatchling. Hopefully it will grow fast so that I can get it as a mount.

After a while, I've decided to train my priest as well. My priest is doing herbalism and alchemy. I was so lucky to stumble across a [Golden Lotus] while I was doing some of my quests. So it gave me a buff which increases my chances of finding a [Golden Lotus] and that mobs in Pandaria will drop "treasure chests" which contains items ranging from gold to cloth to [Mote of Harmony]. So far I only got those that are listed above. The [Golden Lotus] is sold at about 200g in my realm so I guess it is pretty valuable considering that they are so hard to find. So far I managed to get my priest to level 86. Hopefully I can get him to 90 before my school starts next week. I'm not sure when I will be coming back to WoW when school starts...

As far as I'm concern there have been many restarts on realms. Hopefully there will be less in future. There will also be a new Patch 5.1 coming out real soon. I'm looking forward to it. Some of the features that are coming out in the new patch can be found in this link:  http://us.battle.net/wow/en/blog/7481208/Mists_of_Pandaria_-_Patch_51_PTR_Coming_Soon-10_5_2012
Basically there will be new reps, you will be able to upgrade your current equipment using Valor Points and Pet Battles Improvements.

And for those who want to see more of my WoW pictures, you can follow me on Instagram: @alvin_lee228. I usually post more personal stuff there but I will post an occasional WoW pic.

Meanwhile

Meanwhile, I have transferred my BE Pally - Falindrin (Currently lvl 65) from Jubei'thos to Thaurissan to play with one of my friends who just joined WoW last November. And I created a Draenei Shaman - Electron (Currently lvl 37) in Barthilas just to try out alliance and some of my ex-classmates are playing there.

Did I tell you how OP blood death knights are? LOL They do massive amounts of damage. Especially when I dueled with a lvl 65 blood DK with my Pally, I had to keep healing myself because he was getting all these massive Crits that is hard to heal through.

Another thing is the AH. My mage is a tailor, and I have been selling [Embersilk Bags] in the Auction Houses because they were supposed to be profitable? But whenever I put them into AH, the prices of the bags kept on dropping. I used to sell them for 425g each but now, everyone is selling them for less than 400g! How is the economy gonna sustain?! I mean of course you could farm mobs, complete instances and do raids but, what fun will there be for professions?
